A month ago Kenneth and Stephanie wrote me asking about my prices to shoot their wedding which will take place in October, in Puerto Morelos. We exchanged some emails, they told me a little bit about their story and one day they surprised me saying that they were in the Riviera Maya for one week, if we could meet. I thought that it would be a nice idea, as they didn’t have engagement photos yet, to do a romantic session so they could experience how is to be in front of the camera and working with me. It is always better to get to know your wedding photographer in advance and what a better opportunity to do that than doing the engagement photos in Playa del Carmen.
They were a bit nervous and excited at the same time. Being photographed isn’t easy, but for me the ideal is to let them be themselves, to forget about the camera and just show their real essence. That is the way you always achieve the best photos.
We met in the morning in Playa del Carmen downtown and headed to the 5th Ave. A great spot to try some photos surrounded by the bright mexican colors among the shops and the restaurants. Then we went to the ruins area and finally to the beach by Playacar.
We had a blast, they felt super comfortable and happy with the session. Once we finished with the photos we tried some mexican food in one of the restaurants nearby. The best thing about my job is to become friends with my clients. Friends are forever !
